Bicycle Rider Injured in Carmichael Crash on Fair Oaks Boulevard

CARMICHAEL, CA (March 12, 2023) – A bicycle rider was hospitalized after a crash on Fair Oaks Boulevard near Palm Drive in Carmichael.

The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the collision took place last month on February 20. Officers reported the accident at around 2:17 p.m.

According to CHP, a vehicle struck the bicycle rider in Carmichael. The driver hit the bicyclist in the 6400 block of Fair Oaks Boulevard near Palm Drive and Marconi Avenue.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the victim who ended up hurt as a result of the incident.

Medical personnel then rushed the patient to the Mercy San Juan Medical Center for treatment of unspecified injuries.

The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, officers did not mention if the motorist stopped or stayed at the site following the collision.

CHP forced a stretch of Fair Oaks Boulevard to shut down after the wreck. The cause of the Carmichael bicycle crash is still under investigation.
