Bicycle Rider Injured in Carmichael Crash on Marconi Avenue Near Westwood
CARMICHAEL, CA (January 12, 2022) – A bicycle rider was hospitalized after a crash on Marconi Avenue near Westwood Lane in Carmichael.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident took place on Wednesday evening. Officers reported the collision at about 6:26 p.m.
According to their dispatch, a vehicle struck the bicycle rider in Carmichael. The driver hit the bicyclist for an unknown reason at 5018 Marconi Avenue.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the intersection with Westwood Lane. They found the cyclist who sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the motorist stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the rider. Officers forced a stretch of Marconi Avenue to shut down following the incident.
The cause of the Carmichael bicycle crash is still under investigation.
