2-Vehicle Collision at Kovanda Avenue in Carmichael
CARMICHAEL, Calif. (Nov. 1, 2024) — Two vehicles were involved in a traffic accident in Carmichael where at least one crashed into a brick fence at a house on Kovanda and Walnut avenues.
The collision occurred at 5100 Kovanda Avenue at around 5:07 p.m. on Nov. 1st, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The drivers of a white Mercedes Benz and a second sedan were involved in the crash. One of the vehicles also collided with a pole and airbags were deployed in the vehicles.
One person was trapped in their vehicle and bystanders cut it off to free them from the vehicle, the report said.
The vehicles had 360-degree damage from the crash and the brick wall was blocking southbound traffic lanes on Walnut Avenue after it was destroyed in the collision.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the crash and liability.
