Driver Allegedly Runs Red Light, Overturns
CARMICHAEL, Calif. (August 28, 2023) — A driver allegedly ran a red light and crashed into another motorist in a Carmichael crash at California Avenue and Fair Oaks Boulevard.
The multi-vehicle collision occurred around 9:37 a.m. on August 28th, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
A driver in a silver SUV allegedly drove through a red light, T-boned a grey Honda before the SUV overturned onto its side and caught on fire.
A bystander had a fire extinguisher and attempted to put out the fire, while others helped to get people out of the overturned vehicles.
Police responded with paramedics to help the injured people, but there are no further details.
Meanwhile, authorities are working to determine what factors contributed to the Carmichael crash on California Avenue.
The case remains under investigation.
