Motorcyclist Killed in Carmichael Crash at Cypress Avenue and Stillmeadow Way
CARMICHAEL, CA (June 6, 2021) – A motorcyclist was killed after a crash at Cypress Avenue and Stillmeadow Way in Carmichael.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the tragic accident occurred on Sunday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 1:37 p.m.
The incident happened when an older Mercedes made a turn for an unknown reason. CHP said the car drove directly in front of the motorcycle rider.
The motorcyclist then collided with the side of the car at the intersection of Cypress Avenue and Stillmeadow Way in Carmichael.
Motorcycle vs Car Collision Near Community Park
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene near the Gibbons Community Park. They found the motorcyclist suffering from major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel later pronounced the victim dead. The name of the deceased party remains unreleased pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of Cypress and Stillmeadow to shut down following the wreck. They did not mention if the driver of the Mercedes sustained any wound or if they stopped after the collision.
The cause of the fatal Carmichael crash is still under investigation.
