Pedestrian Killed in Carmichael Crash Near Manzanita Avenue and Winding Way
CARMICHAEL, CA (April 13, 2021) – A pedestrian was killed after an accident near Manzanita Avenue and Winding Way in Carmichael.
The California Highway Patrol received a call about the tragic incident on Tuesday night. According to their dispatch team, officers reported the crash at about 8:51 p.m.
CHP said a black sedan struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason. The car hit the person near the intersection of Manzanita Avenue and Winding Way in Carmichael.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and then found the victim lying on the ground as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel confirmed that the pedestrian died. The name of the deceased individual remains unreleased pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver involved stopped after hitting the victim. Officials soon forced the road to shut down for more than two hours following the Carmichael pedestrian accident.
The cause of the fatal collision is still under investigation.
