Deceased Victims ID’d as Woman, 58, and Man, 61
The collision was reported at 6:01 p.m., north of Winding Way.
As per the article, California Highway Patrol said a black Lexus was speeding north on Garfield Avenue when at the same time a red Honda was going south on Garfield in the left-turn lane.
The Honda was turning from Garfield onto Kiva Drive when the car was broadsided by the Lexus.
CHP affirmed that a passenger in the Honda was pronounced dead at the scene while the driver died later at an area hospital. The victims were identified only as Lisa Stevens, 58, of Carmichael, and Noel Mee, 61, of Carmichael.
Meanwhile, the 20-year-old motorist in the Lexus was hospitalized with unspecified injuries.
The incident remains under investigation.
