Pedestrian Injured in Carmichael Crash Near Fair Oaks and Marconi
CARMICHAEL, CA (April 25, 2021) – A pedestrian was hospitalized after an accident near Fair Oaks Boulevard and Marconi Avenue in Carmichael.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident on Saturday afternoon, April 24. According to their dispatch team, officers reported the crash at about 3:12 p.m.
CHP said a motorcyclist struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason. The driver hit the person who was sitting on the sidewalk near Fair Oaks Boulevard and Marconi Avenue in Carmichael.
Victim Hit by Vehicle Near Shopping Center
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene near the Carmichael Oaks Shopping Center. They found the victim who complained of pain as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to the Mercy San Juan Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. Officials did not disclose the name of the patient and his condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the motorist stopped after hitting the person. Officers forced the area of Fair Oaks and Marconi to shut down following the crash.
Authorities are still determining the cause of the Carmichael pedestrian accident.
