Pedestrian, 52, Injured in Carmichael Accident on Manzanita Avenue
CARMICHAEL, CA (April 9, 2021) – A pedestrian was injured after an accident along Manzanita Avenue in Carmichael.
The California Highway Patrol received a call about the incident late Monday afternoon, April 5. According to their dispatch, officers reported the crash at about 5:42 p.m.
CHP said a pickup truck hit a 52-year-old pedestrian for an unknown reason. The driver struck the person at 4040 Manzanita Avenue in Carmichael.
Victim Hit by Car Near Safeway Fuel Station
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene in front of the Safeway Fuel Station. They found the victim who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then treated the patient for complaint of pain to their head. Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, officers did not mention if the motorist stopped after hitting the pedestrian. They forced Manzanita Avenue to shut down following the collision.
Authorities are still determining the cause of the Carmichael crash.
