Major Injury Crash on Cypress Avenue in Carmichael

CARMICHAEL, Calif. (July 30, 2024) — A 22-year-old pedestrian suffered major injuries Tuesday afternoon in a car accident on Cypress Avenue at Manzanita Avenue in Carmichael.

The traffic accident occurred in front of the Golden 1 Credit Union at around 12:17 p.m. on July 30th, according to the California Highway Patrol report.

A driver in a black Chevrolet Tahoe SUV struck the victim due to unknown circumstances. The case was initially classified as a hit-and-run, but that has not been confirmed.

Paramedics responded and transported the injured person to a hospital for treatment of major injuries, but there are no further details.

It’s unknown what led up to the pedestrian accident on Cypress Avenue in Carmichael, but investigators are working to determine fault for the collision.
