
Woman Injured in Hit-and-run Crash Dies at Hospital
POMONA, Calif. (July 17, 2024) – Carol Fuentes, 57, died at the hospital 10 days after she was severely injured in a three-vehicle hit-and-run crash in Pomona.
The traffic accident occurred at Garey and Orange Grove avenues at around 9 p.m. on July 5th, according to the Pomona Police Department.
The Pomona Police Department responded to the scene of the collision involving a driver in a white Ford Expedition SUV who fled after colliding with the woman’s blue Nissan.
At least two people were taken to a hospital with minor to severe injuries, police said. The mother of six and wife of 32 years was treated for a severe spinal cord and brain injuries before she died on July 15th.
