Carolyn Jones, 70, Critically Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash on High Street
OAKLAND (January 10, 2019) – A pedestrian critically injured after an alleged hit-and-run accident along High Street late last month has been identified as Carolyn Jones, according to East Bay Times.
As per the article, police said Jones was walking across High Street on December 26 when for an unknown reason she was struck by a vehicle on High Street.
The 70-year-old Oakland woman was in a marked crosswalk in the 2900 block of High Street at about 8:19 p.m. when she was hit by a driver who was going south at the time.

Police affirmed that the Jones was found lying in the roadway as a result of the crash. She was immediately taken to a hospital with severe head and other injuries.
The victim remains hospitalized in critical condition and unresponsive. Meanwhile, the motorist involved did not stop to render aid and continued south on High Street.
The suspect car was described as a 1990s dark colored Ford Mustang.
