Major Injury Collision on Highway 101 Near Via Real Tuesday
Carpinteria, CA (July 27, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol group reported a car accident that occurred on U.S. Route 101 Tuesday evening.
Initial records indicated a vehicle crashed while traveling on the northbound lanes of Highway 101. The incident took place near Via Real and Padaro Lane. Officials said a car careened away from traffic, and plowed into bushes along the Carpinteria freeway.

Shortly before 7 p.m., medical personnel arrived at the accident scene. Responding paramedics rendered aid to all parties involved in the wreck. Following the evaluation, authorities confirmed one person suffered major injuries as a result of the incident.
Several factors surrounding the car accident in Carpinteria have not been discussed thus far. At this time, investigators continue to work to determine exactly how and why the crash happened.
