Multi-Vehicle Collision Near Santa Monica Road
Carpinteria, CA (December 30, 2022) – At least one person suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on State Route Highway 101 Wednesday afternoon.
The KEYT News published an article online reporting a collision involving multiple vehicles. Officials said three cars crashed into each other in the northbound side of the highway near Santa Monica Road. The make and model of the automobiles found at the scene have not been revealed thus far.
Preliminary investigation revealed a black German Shepherd dashed into the traffic lanes, and apparently caused the collision.
1 Hurt in Car Accident on Highway 101 in Carpinteria
Shortly after 1:47 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. Responding paramedics rendered aid to all possible victims in the crash. After the evaluation, authorities confirmed one person sustained minor injuries as a result of the wreck. Medical personnel treated, then released the victim at the scene. Personal information on the injured party remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
Detectives stayed at the crash site the whole afternoon. They continue to investigate liability in the traffic accident that happened on Highway 101 in Carpinteria.
