Motorcycle Accident on Highway 101 in Carpinteria
CARPINTERIA, Calif. (May 16, 2022) — A Carpinteria motorcycle crash happened Monday morning on Highway 101, just south of Casitas Pass Road.
The two-vehicle collision occurred in the northbound lanes of Highway 101 about 6:46 a.m. on May 16th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials say the motorcycle rider suffered a minor leg injury. Paramedics responded and transported the injured rider to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.
It’s unknown what led up to the collision between the motorcycle and another motorist.
Investigators are piecing together evidence and statements from those involved to determine fault.
Meanwhile, a tow truck removed the motorcycle from the roadway.
The investigation into the Carpinteria motorcycle crash is ongoing.
