Carrie Cuca Lopez, 43, Killed in Bakersfield Crash Near Calloway and Tumwater
BAKERSFIELD, CA (April 7, 2021) – A DUI crash killed Carrie Cuca Lopez near Calloway Drive and Tumwater Avenue in Bakersfield.
The Kern County Coroner’s Office said the 43-year-old Bakersfield woman died following the accident late Tuesday night.
The incident happened when Carrie Cuca Lopez was driving a white SUV near the intersection of Calloway Drive and Tumwater Avenue in Bakersfield.
Speed and Alcohol Factors in Fatal Car Collision
Police said another vehicle then struck her car. According to reports by the Kern Golden Empire and The Bakersfield Californian, the wreck occurred on April 6 at around 11:58 p.m.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene. They found Carrie Cuca Lopez severely injured as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel rushed her to Kern Medical where they pronounced her dead. They also took the other driver, a man, for treatment of minor injuries.
