RIVERSIDE COUNTY, Calif. (June 13, 2023) — Carrie Walrath, 33, of Homeland, died in a pedestrian accident Monday night on Highway 74, just east of Highland Palms Drive in Homeland.
The collision occurred around 9:44 p.m. on June 12th, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The report stated that a driver struck the pedestrian due to unknown circumstances. Paramedics responded and pronounced the the young woman dead at the scene.
The Riverside County Sheriff Coroner later identified the victim as Carrie Walrath.
Meanwhile, the California Highway Patrol is heading up an investigation into liability for the fatal pedestrian accident on Highway 74.
