Bicycle Rider Killed in Carson Hit-and-Run at Chico and Dominguez Streets
CARSON, CA (September 26, 2020) – A bicycle rider ended up killed after an hit-and-run crash near Chico and Dominguez streets in Carson Saturday morning.
According to an article published by My News LA, the tragic collision occurred at about 6:17 a.m. The incident happened near the 405 Freeway.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said a vehicle struck a female bicyclist for an unknown reason near the intersection of Chico and Dominguez streets.
Fire department officials along with the paramedics responded and found the bicycle rider down in the roadway as a result of the accident.

Medical personnel ultimately pronounced the cyclist dead at the scene. The name of the deceased victim has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, deputies affirmed that the driver involved did not stop to render aid and fled the area. Authorities are still gathering more information and evidence to locate the motorist.
Officers briefly closed Chico Street from 213th Street to Dominguez Street and Dominguez from Leapwood Avenue to Belshaw Avenue following the incident.
The fatal crash remains under investigation.
