1 Injured in Carson Hit-and-Run Crash on Westbound 91 Freeway Near Main Street
CARSON, CA (August 26, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash injured at least one person on the 91 Freeway in Carson.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident on Thursday evening. According to their dispatch, officers reported the accident at about 6:22 p.m.
CHP said a silver Honda Accord and possibly two other vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Carson. The two crashed on the westbound 91 Freeway, just east of Main Street.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found an occupant of the Honda Accord who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then treated the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the wreck. The name of the wounded victim and their condition at this time were not released.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that one of the drivers involved did not stop to help and fled the area. Officers forced the westbound lanes of the 91 Freeway near Main Street to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the Carson hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
