2-Vehicle Crash on State Route 41 in Caruthers
CARUTHERS, Calif. (Nov. 29, 2023) — A driver allegedly ran a red light and collided with another motorist in a Caruthers car accident on Highway 41 and East Conejo Avenue in Fresno County.
The two-vehicle collision occurred in the northbound lanes of State Route 41 at around 6:22 a.m. on Nov. 29th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A driver in a black Toyota was approaching the intersection and reportedly drove through a red light before crashing into an older-model black Acura or Honda, police said.
One of the vehicles went off the roadway on the right shoulder and debris scattered in traffic lanes.
Paramedics responded to help at least one person with injuries, but it’s unknown if anyone was transported to a hospital.
Tow trucks removed both damaged vehicles from the roadway.
Finally, investigators are working to determine fault for the Highway 41 accident as well as whether any charges will be made.
