Motorcyclist Killed in Fresno County Head-On Crash on Highway 41

FRESNO COUNTY (August 12, 2019) – Motorcycle rider, Cary Williams, 49, of Fresno, died Sunday afternoon in a head-on crash on Highway 41.

The fatal accident collision was reported to the California Highway Patrol about 2:30 p.m. near Harlan Avenue.

Williams was riding a motorcycle northbound on Highway 41 when he was hit by a driver of a sports utility vehicle. Police say that the SUV driver was heading southbound and allegedly passing other vehicles on the two-lane highway. The SUV moved into the path of the motorcycle rider and the two vehicles collided head-on.

Paramedics responded, however, the motorcycle rider died of his injuries.

The CHP reported that the driver of the SUV was taken to the hospital with a complaint of pain. The CHP is heading up the investigation.
