SANTA MARIA, CA (July 2, 2021) – A head-on crash seriously injured Cassie Goff and a teenage boy on Highway 166 in Santa Maria.
The California Highway Patrol identified the two Las Vegas residents as victims of the collision which occurred on Friday morning.
The incident began when 46-year-old Cassie Goff was driving a 2004 Porsche Cayenne east on Highway 166 in Santa Maria. At the same time, a 2020 GMC Yukon was going west at about 55 to 60 mph.
For an unknown reason, the GMC turned to the left and crossed the double yellow lines. CHP said its driver, 22-year-old Palmdale resident Luis Cardona, then slammed head-on into the Porsche.
