At Least 1 Killed, Several Injured After Car Crash on Golden State Freeway Friday
Castaic, CA (November 27, 2020) – One person died, and several others suffered injuries following a traffic collision on Interstate 5 early Friday morning.
According to an article published online by the Signal, four vehicles collided for an unknown reason on I-5, also known as Golden State Freeway. Officials mentioned the wreck involved a big rig. However, the make and model of the other cars found at the crash site have not been revealed thus far.
Emergency teams arrived at the accident scene, near Templin Highway, at about 3 a.m. Responding medical personnel rendered aid to the possible victims.
Deadly Multi-Car Accident in Castaic, November 27
Following an evaluation, officials confirmed one person sadly died as a result of the collision. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Authorities added three other people suffered critical injuries, and one person suffered minor injury as a result of the unfortunate event.
The California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert shortly after the incident. Officers shut down three lanes of the freeway for about four hours to give way to the investigation process.
Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to work to determine exactly how and why the deadly car accident in Castaic happened.
