As per the article, California Highway Patrol said a black Ford Mustang and a grey Toyota Corolla collided head-on shortly after 1 p.m.
Los Angeles County Fire Department officials along with the paramedics responded to the scene and took one person to the hospital with unspecified injuries. The name and condition of the victim at this time remained unknown.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the driver of one of the vehicles involved fled on foot following the wreck. The suspect was described as a male who was last seen wearing black clothing and running towards The Old Road.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by police.
