1 Injured in Castaic Car Crash on Northbound 5 Freeway Tuesday
CASTAIC (March 18, 2020) – An alleged hit-and-run collision injured at least one person along the Interstate 5 Freeway late Tuesday night.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident on March 17 at about 10:27 p.m. The wreck happened just south of Parker Road.
According to their dispatch, a van slammed into the rear of a black Honda Pilot for an unknown reason on the northbound side of the 5 Freeway.

Los Angeles Fire Department officials along with the paramedics responded to the scene and provided treatment to one person who suffered minor injuries upon impact.
CHP did not specify if medical personnel transported the patient to the hospital or further aid. The name and condition of the wounded party at this time were not released.
Meanwhile, the Honda Pilot ended up on the right hand shoulder with damage following the crash. The male driver of the van abandoned the vehicle and was last seen wearing black shirt and blue jeans.
Authorities are still investigating the incident.
