Wounded Party Transported to a Hospital
CASTAIC, LOS ANGELES COUNTY (March 30, 2016) – A woman was injured following a big rig accident on southbound 5 Freeway early Wednesday, according to Signal SCV.
The incident happened at around 1:30 a.m.
Preliminary report stated that authorities responded to an emergency calling for medical help on the freeway near Lake Hughes Road.
Upon arrival at the scene, they have located a traffic collision involving a rig and a passenger vehicle.
The force from the smash concluded in a female party briefly trapped inside the passenger vehicle. The impact resulted her injuries that needed confined treatment, leading to her being rushed to the hospital by a paramedic team.
Meanwhile, no immediate information was provided on the condition of the rig driver.
The Signal SCV published that the responding firefighters found the rig’s fuel tank ruptured and was leaking diesel fuel. In line, they expediently worked on the matter and were able to contain the spill.
