2 Badly Injured in Castroville Crash Near Highway 156 and Highway 183
CASTROVILLE, CA (September 12, 2021) – Two were badly injured after a car crash near Highway 156 and Highway 183 in Castroville.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place on Sunday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 10:42 a.m.
According to CHP, two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Castroville. They crashed near the intersection of Highway 156 and Highway 183.
2 Cars Collide
The incident log described the cars as a red Ford F-150 pickup truck and a silver Honda Accord. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
They found two people who sustained moderate injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel took them to the Natividad Medical Center for treatment.
Officials did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of Highway 156 and Highway 183 to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the Castroville crash is still under investigation.
