Linda Cato Killed, 5 Injured San Jacinto Car Accident
SAN JACINTO, California (July 28, 2017) — Linda Cato, 68, of San Jacinto was killed and five others were hurt Thursday afternoon in a crash on the Ramona Boulevard at Sanderson Avenue, according to the Riverside County Sheriff Coroner.
The fatal crash took place about 1:08 p.m. yesterday.
Police say there were two vehicles involved, a Honda Civic and a Ford SUV.
Ramona Boulevard Accident Investigation
Police say the traffic accident took place Thursday afternoon when Cato who was driving the Honda Civic traveling westbound on Ramona Boulevard. She was attempting to make a left-hand turn onto Sanderson Avenue, but police say she didn’t yield the right-of-way to a Ford Explorer SUV that was heading northbound on Sanderson, according to a Riverside County Sheriff’s news release.
A male passenger who was in Cato’s car suffered moderate injuries and was taken to the hospital. All four people who were in the Explorer had minor injuries and declined medical transport.
