Patricia Roy, 22, Identified by Coroner as Victim in Crash
BENICIA, California (August 10, 2017) — Patricia Roy, 22, of Concord has been identified as the woman who died in a collision on the Interstate Highway 680 last week, according to the Solano County Sheriff Coroner.
The crash took place about 6 a.m. on August 4th on the Benicia-Martinez Bridge near the Interstate Highway 780 split.
Police say Roy was heading northbound on Highway 680 in a Honda sedan when she struck the back of a slower moving big rig truck. The impact caused the vehicle to veer across traffic towards the left side of the roadway where it crashed into a concrete wall.
Roy died of her injuries at the scene of the crash about 6:21 a.m.
