1 Killed, 1 Injured in Cathedral City Crash at Dinah Shore and Cathedral Canyon
CATHEDRAL CITY, CA (June 5, 2021) – A car crash killed one person and injured another at Dinah Shore and Cathedral Canyon drives in Cathedral City.
According to The Desert Sun and My News LA, the tragic accident took place on Saturday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck shortly after 1 p.m.
Cathedral City police said three vehicles collided for an unknown reason. They crashed at the intersection of Dinah Shore and Cathedral Canyon drives.
Multiple Vehicles Collide in Cathedral City
Firefighters along with the paramedics responded and found a male driver suffering from major injuries as a result of the wreck. They later pronounced him dead at the scene.
Another motorist involved sustained minor injuries due to the impact of the collision. Medical personnel took the patient to the hospital for treatment.
The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released. Meanwhile, officials shut down the eastbound lanes on Dinah Shore near Cathedral Canyon for several hours following the crash.
The cause of the fatal collision is still under investigation.
