Cayetana Espejel Killed, Antonio Espejel Injured in Sacramento Crash
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (August 15, 2022) — Cayetana Espejel, 86, was killed and Antonio Espejel, 86, was badly hurt in a crash on Northgate Boulevard at Sotano Drive in North Sacramento.
The collision occurred on August 2nd at the Sacramento intersection, according to ABC 10 News. A driver was allegedly speeding on Northgate Boulevard when it crashed into the couple’s vehicle.
Meanwhile, the traffic accident resulted in injuries for four people. Paramedics rushed all four people to the hospital, including the Espejels. Cayetana Espejel died at the hospital. Doctors are treating Antonio Espejel for undisclosed injuries in the intensive care unit.
Additionally, the couple was married for 56 years.
Finally, investigators with the Sacramento Police Department are heading up the investigation.
