Cayucos Fatal Car Accident on Cabrillo Highway at Old Creek Road
LOCATION: Cayucos, San Luis Obispo County
DATE OF INCIDENT: Tuesday, May 8th
May 8, 2018– According to the California Highway Patrol, a deadly 2-car collision took place Tuesday morning at or near the intersection of Highway 1 also known as Cabrillo Highway and Old Creek Road.
Authorities responded to the crash allegedly between a silver Toyota sedan and a red Honda 2-door vehicle at 7:36 a.m.
Limited details have been provided thus far regarding what exactly occurred at why but there were reports by police that at least one person suffered fatal injuries following the wreck.
At least two others were confirmed to have sustained injuries thought to range between moderate and serious and were rushed to medical centers for immediate assessment and treatment.
As of 10:00 a.m., CHP was still very active with their investigation as the intersection remained closed down.
