Celeste Valdez, 17, Killed in Car Accident Near Romero Visitor Center
LOS BANOS (June 5, 2018) – A 17-year-old girl was killed in a traffic collision on Highway 152 early Monday, according to ABC News.
The fatality was identified as Celeste Valdez, an incoming senior student at Pacheco High School.
Officials said Valdez was riding as a passenger in the black Nissan involved driven by an unidentified individual. As per the article, the Nissan driver lost control of the vehicle and reportedly stopped in between two lanes on the highway near Romero Visitor Center and Dinosaur Point.
Investigators determined another driver headed in the same direction did not see the car, and hit the passenger side of the Nissan.

Valdez sustained fatal trauma as a result of the impact. The teenager was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene.
No additional details were released on the names, and whereabouts of the other parties involved in the accident.
At this time, further investigation on the case is underway. Liability in the accident is still being determined.
