Fatal Montclair Crash at Howard and Ransom
MONTCLAIR (February 10, 2020) – Celia Flores Orozco, 67, and her passenger, Jose Valdez Orozco, 65, both of Pomona, died and a 5-year-old child in the same car was seriously injured Saturday night in a collision with a suspected DUI crash in Montclair.
The fatal crash took place at Howard Street and Ransom Avenue on Saturday, Feb. 8th about 10:33 p.m.
Two vehicles were involved in the wreck, a Ford Explorer and a Nissan sedan. The collision took place at Howard Street and Ransom Avenue.
The Montclair Fire Department responded, however, both people in the Nissan sedan were pronounced dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the 32-year-old Garden Grove man driving the Ford Explorer survived with major injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
Police believe that the driver of the Ford Explorer ran the stop sign at the intersection and caused the wreck.
The SUV driver is also suspected of being under the influence at the time.
