2 Injured in Ceres DUI Hit-and-Run Crash on Bernice Drive
CERES, CA (January 15, 2022) – At least two were injured after a DUI hit-and-run crash on Bernice Drive in Ceres.
According to an article published by the Ceres Courier, the accident took place last week on Wednesday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 2:57 p.m.
The incident happened when a gray-colored Honda Accord and another car collided in the city on January 5. Police said the two vehicles crashed in the 1500 block of Bernice Drive in Ceres.
Drunk Driver Hits Another Car
At least two occupants of the victim car ended hurt as a result of the collision. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and treated them for their injuries.
The report did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver of the Honda did not stop to render aid and fled the area.
They located the Accord abandoned in the 1900 block of Herndon Road in the Lazy Wheels Mobile Home Park. Police soon found the man and determined he was under the influence of alcohol.
They arrested and charged him with hit-and-run causing injury and DUI. The Ceres DUI hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
