2-Vehicle Cerritos Car Accident on Interstate 605 Freeway
CERRITOS, Calif. (Oct. 15, 2020) — A woman driving a gray Kia Telluride was rear-ended on the southbound I-605 Freeway in a Cerritos car accident.
The crash was reported at 12:14 p.m. on Oct. 15 near the Del Amo Boulevard exit, according to the California Highway Patrol. However, it’s unknown what led up to this collision.
The woman, who had four children in her vehicle, was struck by a driver in a small red Chevrolet. The Chevy suffered major front-end damage and was blocking traffic lanes. The Kia was pulled over to the right shoulder after the Cerritos car accident, police said.
Meanwhile, the vehicles were blocking the No. 4 lane and traffic was backing up behind them. Paramedics responded to the crash scene to treat anyone who was hurt, however, there were no further details. The injuries were classified as minor ones.
The CHP is heading up the investigation into the crash. Therefore, witnesses are asked to contact them as they work to determine fault. The CHP incident number is 01400.
