At Least 1 Killed in Traffic Collision on Interstate 91 Freeway Tuesday
Cerritos, CA (June 8, 2021) – One person died following a car crash on Interstate 91, also known as Artesia Freeway, early Tuesday morning.
According to My News LA, a traffic accident involving a solo-vehicle occurred in the westbound side of the freeway near Carmenita Road. The precise circumstances that led to the collision remained unknown at this time.

Emergency teams arrived at the crash site shortly after 2:30 a.m. First responders found at least one person with life-threatening injuries. A short time after the incident, authorities confirmed the victim succumbed to their injuries and died. Police continue to withhold the name of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Several factors surrounding the incident remained unclear. Given that, investigators continue to work to determine exactly how and why the car crash in Cerritos happened.
