Cerritos crash 91 Freeway Carmenita
1 Injured in Cerritos Hit-and-Run Crash on 91 Freeway Near Carmenita Road
CERRITOS, CA (November 4, 2021) – At least one was injured after a hit-and-run crash on the 91 Freeway near Carmenita Road in Cerritos.
The California Highway Patrol received a call about the accident on Tuesday evening. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck at around 5:55 p.m.
The incident happened on November 2 when a dark colored Toyota Camry and another vehicle collided for an unknown reason in Cerritos.
2 Vehicles Collide
CHP said the two crashed on the westbound side of the 91 Freeway, just east of Carmenita Road. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel found an occupant of the sedan hurt as a result of the collision. They then treated the victim for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident.
The report did not disclose the name of the wounded patient and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the other driver did not stop to render aid and fled the area.
Officers forced the westbound lanes of the 91 Freeway to shut down near Carmenita following the wreck. The cause of the Cerritos hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
