Semi-Truck, Kia Crash on Artesia 91 Freeway in Cerritos
CERRITOS, Calif. (August 23, 2024) — One person was taken to a hospital after a car and semi-truck were involved in an accident on the Artesia 91 Freeway in Cerritos.
It happened in the westbound lanes of the 91 Freeway at the San Gabriel River 605 Freeway interchange around 8:48 a.m. on August 23rd, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
A driver in a black Kia sedan and the big rig truck collided in the middle lanes of the freeway due to unknown circumstances.
Paramedics responded and transported at least one person to UCI Medical Center for treatment of undisclosed injuries.
Meanwhile, a tow truck removed the damaged vehicle from the scene and investigators are working to determine fault for the Cerritos accident on the 91 Freeway.
