Cesar Navarro Killed in Lucerne Valley Pedestrian Accident on Highway 18

Lucerne Valley, CA (Sept. 30, 2026) — Cesar Navarro, a 52-year-old Lucerne Valley resident, was killed on a Thursday evening after being struck in a traffic collision in Lucerne Valley, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The collision occurred at approximately 6:45 p.m. on September 24, 2026, at State Route 18 and Trade Post Road.

Navarro was identified as a pedestrian involved in the collision, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of a larger truck towing a dump trailer stopped following the collision and cooperated with authorities.

The California Highway Patrol is handling the investigation.
