 Chad Henderson Fatal Hit-and-run Las Plumas Avenue Suspect in White Car Sought for Fatal Hit-and-run Crash

BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. (Oct. 6, 2022) – Chad Henderson, 47, of Oroville, died Tuesday in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Las Plumas Avenue in Butte County.

The collision occurred about 5:22 a.m. on Oct. 4th on Las Plumas Avenue, near Las Plumas High School, according to Action News Now. The first driver in a white 4-door sedan fled the scene and a second driver in a 2020 Nissan Frontier pickup truck hit the victim a few minutes later as they attempted to pass the crash scene in the center divider.

Several motorists pulled over and stopped to help the victim. However, the pedestrian suffered major injuries and died at the scene, located just west of Lower Wyandotte Road.

Later, the Butte County Coroner’s Office identified the Oroville man as Chad Henderson.

Investigators are working on the case, but have not arrested anyone.
