Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on PCH ID’d as Chad McManus of Simi Valley

 Chad McManus Fatal Ventura Motorcycle Crash on Pacific Coast Highway VENTURA COUNTY, Calif. (August 6, 2019) — Chad McManus, 32, of Simi Valley, was identified as the motorcyclist killed Sunday in a crash on Pacific Coast Highway.

The collision was reported about 12:29 p.m., just south of Sycamore Canyon Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

McManus reportedly failed to negotiate a right turn, crashed and slid in front of an oncoming Ford Explorer SUV where he was struck by that vehicle.  The crash took place between Mugu Rock and Neptune’s Net in Ventura County. McManus, who reportedly worked at a local Harley-Davidson dealership, died at the scene of the crash.

Two people who were in the Ford SUV suffered minor injuries in the crash, but it’s unknown if they were treated at the scene or at the hospital.

The crash remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
