At Least 1 Killed in Collision at Nordhoff and Winnetka
Chatsworth, CA (February 9, 2023) – One person died following a car accident that occurred in the area of Nordhoff Street and Winnetka Avenue.

On February 9, Thursday, two cars collided head-on at the intersection in Chatsworth. The KTLA5 News reported the wreck involved a black Tesla and a white Honda SUV. Preliminary investigation revealed the Tesla was heading north on Winnetka and made a left turn as it approached the intersection at Nordhoff. The Tesla veered into the path of the Honda, leading to the collision, officials said.
Due to the force from the impact, one vehicle careened off the roadway and plowed into the yard of a nearby home.
Emergency crews arrived at the crash site shortly after 6 a.m. First responders found the driver of the Honda trapped in the wreckage. Firefighters successfully freed the victim, but they sadly succumbed to their injuries and passed away at the scene. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.

Authorities added the Tesla driver sustained injuries in the collision.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise cause or the tragic accident that happened at Nordhoff Street and Winnetka Avenue in Chatsworth.
