
Chera Center, 49, Arrested After Yuba City DUI Crash
YUBA CITY, CA (February 6, 2023) – Authorities detained Chera Center after a DUI crash at Walton Avenue and Camino De Flores in Yuba City.
Deputies determined that the 49-year-old Yuba City man was under the influence when the collision took place on Monday.
The incident began when Chera Center was driving a car near South Walton Avenue and Camino De Flores in Yuba City. At the same time, three pedestrians walking in the area.
Officers said she then struck the victims at the intersection near the Andros Karperos School. The CBS Sacramento and FOX 40 News wrote that the accident occurred on February 6 at around 2:20 p.m.
Pedestrians Seriously Injured in Collision
Paramedics arrived at the scene and found all three pedestrians who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. Officials described them as two adults and one juvenile.
Medical personnel then rushed the wounded parties to a hospital for treatment. The reports did not release the names of the patients and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, deputies soon arrested Chera Center for DUI and several other charges following the crash. They added that the suspect had a minor passenger when she hit the pedestrians.
Officers forced the corner of Walton and Camino to shut down following the incident. The Yuba City DUI crash is still under investigation.
