Passenger Keel Injured in DUI Accident Near Limerick Lane
HEALDSBURG (August 28, 2017) – On Saturday, August 19, a driver and his passenger were both injured in an alleged DUI collision on southbound Highway 101.
Officials mentioned the solo-involved vehicle was a 1998 Jeep Cherokee driven by 48-year-old Robert Lawrence Hall III. And the passenger was identified as 57-year-old Cheri Lynne Keel.
According to the Press Democrat, witnesses narrated that they have seen the Jeep swerving on the highway, just south of Limerick Lane, before Hall apparently lost control. The vehicle then overturned multiple times before it came to a rest on the right shoulder of the road.

Medical personnel arrived at the scene shortly after 11:55 p.m. and immediately rendered aid to Keel and Hall.
As per the article, Keel sustained major injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment. She is expected to survive.
Meanwhile, paramedics mentioned Hall suffered a significant head injury which was considered life-threatening. His condition has not been updated thus far.
Following the preliminary investigation, authorities believe drug impairment is a possible factor that caused the major accident. Drug paraphernalia was reportedly located inside the Jeep.
If further investigation determines and justifies the involvement of driving under the influence of drugs, or any form of negligence, leading to an auto accident resulting in bodily injuries, Ms. Cheri Keel will have the right to pursue a personal injury lawsuit against Mr. Robert Hall. DUI is a serious crime that has corresponding criminal penalties, and the kinds of the charges to be filed depend on factors including the prior convictions of the alleged DUI driver, if there are any, the severity of the offense, the level of intoxication at the time of the crash, and the injuries caused to another individual.
