Pedestrian Injured in Cherryland Hit-and-Run at Mission Boulevard and Cherry Way
CHERRYLAND, CA (November 23, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash injured a pedestrian at Mission Boulevard and Cherry Way in Cherryland.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the incident took place on Tuesday evening. Officers reported the accident shortly before 6:30 p.m.
CHP said a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in Cherryland. The driver hit the person at the intersection of Mission Boulevard, known as Highway 185, and Cherry Way.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the city of Hayward. They found the victim who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then treated the patient for the unspecified injuries she sustained in the accident. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and her condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the victim and fled the area. The cause of the Cherryland hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced the corner of Mission Boulevard and Cherry Way to shut down following the collision.
