Cheryl Dodgin, 54, Fatal Victim in Traffic Collision on US-395 Tuesday
Susanville, CA (August 24, 2021) – Cheryl Dodgin, a 54-year-old woman, died following a car crash that occurred on US Highway 395 Tuesday afternoon.
According to KRCRTV, a vehicle heading north on the highway veered into the opposite lanes. Officials said the car drifted into the southbound lane and continued onto the west dirt shoulder.
Our sources indicated Cheryl Dodgin was laying in the back seat of that car without seatbelt when the crash happened. The force from the impact ejected Cheryl Dodgin onto the roadway.
Shortly after 4 p.m., emergency crews arrived at the location. First responders found the woman with severe injuries. Despite life-saving measures, the female passenger succumbed to her injuries and died.

Authorities added multiple other parties suffered injuries as a result of the wreck. No immediate information was available on the injured parties.
At this time, detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate the precise cause of the fatal car crash in Susanville.
