DUI Crash in Chico Left Woman Severely Injured on Pine Street
CHICO, California (May 9, 2016) – A female party suffered severe injuries after a DUI crash on Pine Street, according to an article by ChicoER.
The accident happened on Sunday at around 12:46 a.m.
As per the article, officers responded to a call requesting for aid at the bridge over Little Chico Creek.
Upon arrival at the scene, they have located one female party laying on the ground next to a wrecked vehicle. She was suffering in multiple injuries and was immediately transported to Enloe Medical Center.
The victim was confined for several fractured ribs and pains on her back and neck.
25-year-old driver Spender Meadows and another female passenger were also found on site.
Initial investigation claimed Meadows was intoxicated when he crashed the vehicle head-on into the cement bridge railing.
The ChicoER published that officers will request charges against Meadows for felony DUI causing injury.
