Two Injured Chico Car Accident Mangrove Avenue
CHICO, Calif. (July 26, 2021) — A Chico accident at Mangrove Avenue and East 9th Avenue happened Monday afternoon.
The drivers of a black Jeep and a white Dodge SUV collided about 1 p.m., according to Action News Now.
Additionally, the two-vehicle collision sent two people to the hospital and led to traffic delays at the Chico intersection, according to the Chico Police Department. It’s unknown what led up to the collision, however, there are traffic lights controlling the intersection in every direction. There are also left-turn lanes marked for drivers traveling along Mangrove Avenue at the Chico intersection.
Also, paramedics responded and transported a young girl and woman to the hospital. Chico police did not mention the severity of their injuries, nor did they mention the age or relationship if any between the victims.
Meanwhile, tow trucks removed the damaged vehicles from the scene and investigators with the Chico Police Department seek to determine fault for the crash.
