Rollover Collision at Sixth and Main Streets
CHICO, Calif. (May 6, 2021) — A rollover Chico car accident happened Thursday morning at Sixth and Main Streets.
A driver in an SUV allegedly ran through a red traffic light about 8:45 a.m. and collided with another SUV, according to the Oroville Mercury Register.
One of the SUVs overturned onto its roof during the Chico car accident. The vehicles blocked the intersection at Sixth and Main streets for roughly an hour as police cleared the scene.

Several people called 9-1-1 for help and the Chico police dispatch center sent police and paramedics to the location near Mid Valley Title & Escrow.
Meanwhile, the drivers both managed to exit their vehicle without any serious injuries. Investigators determined the 73-year-old Chico woman driving one of the SUVs ran the red light, but it’s unknown if she received a citation.
The other motorist was a 43-year-old Chico man.
